The MiniDirect single parameter photometer is small and lightweight making it convenient for laboratory or field based testing . The MiniDirect single parameter photometer is compatible with liquid, tablet and powder reagents for the measurement of Chlorine Dioxide up to 3.8mg/l.

CHLORINE DIOXIDE SANITISER

Chlorine Dioxide is a common sterlisation chemical and is regularly used in water treatment. It is also used as a pre-oxidant prior to the chlorination of drinking water to destroy natural water impurities that produce trihalomethanes on exposure to free chlorine.

Chlorine dioxide is also superior to chlorine when operating above pH 7, in the presence of ammonia and amines and/or for the control of biofilms in water distribution systems. Chlorine dioxide is used in many industrial water treatment applications as a biocide including cooling towers, process water and food processing. Chlorine dioxide is less corrosive than chlorine and superior for the control of legionella bacteria.

The MiniDirect Chlorine Dioxide photometer has simplified water science to ensure that non-chemists can make process decisions at the point of sampling. This instrument is equally suited to a lab bench or a remote sample point. It is rugged with a water resistant design and has an inbuilt real time clock with the facility to store up to 15 readings.
